Gulgong Show 2022

On Saturday 18th February 2022, The Gallifrey team had our first show back for the year.

Gulgong NSW - Judge: Alicia Milligan

All together we took two Toggenburg First lactation milkers, our Australian Brown Milker, four Toggenburg doe kids and our 50% Nigerian Dwarf kid. As we have just finished moving back to the area, to say we were not prepared for our first show was a mild understatement but we made it work.

As under prepared as we were we still did well, With Gallifrey Averytrix placing 3rd in both the Senior Toggenburg doe class and best udder 1st Lactation. Gallifrey Star Anise placing 1st in the Senior Australian Brown doe class, also receiving Best of Breed Australian Brown.

Gallifrey Amaltheia placed 3rd in a large Toggenburg Doe Kid Class and Gallifrey Cherry Cola placing 1st in the Nigerian Dwarf kid class.

Group Classes, we placed 1st in group of 3 does, 1st Dam and Daughter with Gallifrey Jaala and Gallifrey Amaltheia and 2nd in the same class with Gallifrey Averytrix and Gallifrey Uptatrix. 1st in Sires progeny with Gallifrey Amaltheia and Gallifrey Ginger representing Televar Ty, and 2nd in the same class with Gallifrey River Graces and Gallifrey Uptatrix representing Down Udder Lucas.

Overall coming home with 5x 1sts, 2x 2nds, 3x 3rds and Best of Breed Australian Brown. A lovely day out with our goats showing along side the other exhibitors.
